UP: Pilkhuwa Municipal Council employee arrested for taking bribe of one lakh rupees

Hapur: An employee of Pilkhuwa Municipality in the district was arrested red handed by an anti-corruption team for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs one lakh. The police have registered a case against three people, including JE of the municipality in the case. Inspector Kunwarpal Singh, in-charge of the Anti-Corruption Team, was told that contractor Deepa Sharma had complained that the employees of Municipality Pilkhuwa were demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to pay the bills.

He said that Vinod, an employee of the Nagar Palika Parishad, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Team near Satyam Talkies in Kotwali Pilkhuwa. they are being interrogated. Based on the complaint in the case, a report has been lodged against three employees, including the JE of the municipality.
