Sonu Punjaban convicted for running gymnastics racket across the country for the first time


New Delhi: Sonu Punjaban, who runs the biggest sex racket on the ‘Queen’ of a gymnastics business in Delhi, has been convicted for the first time in a case. Apart from Delhi-NCR, cases of gymnastics have been registered against Sonu in several states of the country, but this is the first time that Sonu has been convicted in a case by a Delhi court. The court found Sonu and her partner guilty of raping and forcing a 12-year-old girl into the business. The case dates back to 2009. A 12-year-old girl was abducted in Delhi’s Harsh Vihar area and later reached Najafgarh police station.

The girl told the whole police incident. According to the victim, she befriended a boy named Sandeep in 2006 when she was in sixth class. In 2009, Sandeep took her to an area of ​​Delhi under the pretext of marrying her and raped her. Sandeep sold the girl 10 times to different people.

The girl was then handed over to Sonu Punjaban. Sonu forcibly pushed the girl into prostitution. The child was also given injections. Apart from Delhi, the girl was also sent to Haryana and Punjab. Later, a man named Satpal forcibly married the girl but the girl somehow escaped his clutches and reached Najafgarh police station.

The case was referred to the Delhi Police Crime Branch. In the investigation, the team of DCP Bhishma Singh of Crime Branch arrested Sonu Punjaban and Sandeep. The court has now convicted the duo of rape and other serious offenses. Punjabi
