Mumbai: Responding to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s allegations, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday that Kashmir’s independence from India will not be tolerated. Raut said, ‘I read that those who showed’ Free Kashmir ‘made it clear that they want to be free from restrictions on Internet services, mobile services and other issues. This does not mean that they advocate independence from India. ‘
Nationalist Congress Party Minister Jayant Patil also pointed out that the objective of ‘Mukt Kashmir’ was to get rid of all restrictions and discrimination. During the ongoing protests against the JNU violence episode, the banner of ‘Free Kashmir’ was shown by a girl.
Nationalist Congress Party Minister Jitendra Avhar and several celebrities were involved in the protest in protest against the violence in JNU since midnight on Sunday. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, in a statement on Monday, compared the JNU violence incident to the 26/11 terror attacks and said efforts of such criminal activities in the state would not be ignored.
