‘Sabarimala will come after being 50 years old’ … The girl who reached for darshan hanged the plate in her neck

National Desk: Amidst the huge crowd of devotees at the Lord Ayyappa temple, police on Monday sent back two women devotees from Andhra Pradesh as they were aged between ten and 50 years. However, in the meantime, a plank hanging in the neck of a 9-year-old girl caught everyone’s attention.

Police sources said they examined the identity cards of the two women and sent them back as they were in the ‘forbidden’ age group from entering the temple. There is a tradition of not giving entry to women in the age group of ten to 50 years. A nine-year-old girl arrived in the temple premises from Karnataka in favor of those who supported this tradition. There was a plank on his neck on which it was written that I am ready to wait. I will come to the temple after I am 50 years old. Below it was written in English- ‘Ready to wait’ (ready to wait)

Hridayakrishnan, a resident of Thrissur, said that she has visited the temple thrice but now she will see Lord Ayyappa only when she turns 50. His father Harikrishnan said that devotees are those who preserve traditions and beliefs. Ten women were repatriated for being in the forbidden age group after the temple opened on Saturday. She was part of a 30-member team from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
