Real exam in Modi government’s Rajya Sabha on CAB – Congress along with BJP, TMC-SP released whip

The Citizenship Amendment bill has passed easily in the Lok Sabha on Monday. According to the list of proceedings of Rajya Sabha, discussion on this bill will start at 2 pm. A time of 6 hours has been fixed for discussion on this bill in Rajya Sabha. There will be no Question Hour in Rajya Sabha today. There is full potential for uproar in the Rajya Sabha today as the BJP as well as the Congress, TMC and SP have also issued a three line whip to their MPs to be present in the Rajya Sabha.

In Rajya Sabha, BJP 83, JDU 6, AIADMK 11, BJD 7, SAD 3, RPI 1, LJP 1, YSR Congress 2, TDP 2, AGP 1, BPF 1, NPF K 1 , SDF has 1, nominated 3 members, independents and 4 other members along with a total of 127 MPs who can vote in favor of the bill. However, two MPs from the government side may also be absent due to health reasons. In such a situation, it will not be difficult for the government to pass the bill, but JDU also has two notes about this bill.
