Punjab / Doctor not admitted, delivery in the bathroom, child died due to falling on the commode

Hoshiarpur. A major case of negligence has been reported at the Civil Hospital at Kasba Dasuha in Hoshiarpur district. A woman was delivered standing-by in the bathroom of the hospital and the child died on the spot after falling on the toilet seat. The woman’s husband blames the woman doctor at the civil hospital for worsening the wife’s condition and the child’s death. On the other hand, the female doctor denied all the allegations, stating that she was not on duty on the day of the incident. Despite this, the victim couple has demanded a high-level investigation into the case, demanding strict action against the doctor.

The victim hails from Bahranga, a nearby village in Talwara. In his statement, Ashwani Kumar (resident Bahranga) told that his wife Praveen Kumari, whose treatment was under the supervision of doctor Savita Rana of Civil Hospital Dasuha. On October 18, he had a tragic accident with his wife in the hospital bathroom. The husband alleged that the doctor put pressure on his blank paper to put his thumb on it to hide his negligence and later said that your child had died 15 days ago due to lack of blood in the womb.

In his affidavit statement, Ashwani Kumar (resident Bahranga) said that his wife Pravin Kumari was being treated by Dr Savita Rana of Civil Hospital Dasuha. On 16 October, the doctor called his wife and offered blood to the patient to fill the anemia and entered. On October 17, his wife Labor Pen rose. At 11 pm, he asked doctor Savita Rana to admit him in the labor room but he did not pay attention. On 18 October, asked for scanning and gave a bullet. When the wife went to the bathroom, the child fell on the toilet seat and died on the spot.
