Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that the proposal to open 14 medical colleges in the state has been sent to the central government, which will get admission from 2022. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Academic Block of Lohia Institute here. Also inspected the Center Research Lab on the first floor.
On this occasion, he said that till now the name of King George Medical College and Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences used to give better and quality medical facilities to the public, but now Lohia Institute is also involved in this competition. The competition should be to provide quality service to the patients. The Chief Minister said that if we do better, the facilities will increase further.
23 crore people will get benefit of the institute. Institute director AK Tripathi said that 56 kidney transplants have been done here. He said that there was no attempt to run the institutions in the state in a professional manner, which the entire state had to suffer.
