PM Modi inaugurates three high tech labs of the country, will increase the capacity of corona test


New Delhi / Noida, Agency. Through video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the High Tech Lab to be started in National Cancer Prevention and Research Institute (NICPR), Mumbai and Kolkata, located in Noida, Sector-39, adjoining Delhi. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray were also involved in the program through video conferencing.

Addressing the program, PM Modi said that crores of citizens of the country are fighting the global epidemic very bravely. The Hi-tech State of the Art testing facility launched today will give West Bengal, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh more strength in the fight against Corona.

PM Modi said that Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Kolkata are major centers of economic activity. Here millions of youth of the country come to fulfill their careers and their dreams. Now the available capacity of the test in these three places is going to add to the capacity of 10 thousand tests. Addressing the program, PM Modi said that in January where we had only one center for the corona test, today about 1300 labs are working in the whole country. Today, more than 5 lakh tests are being conducted in India every day. In the coming weeks, it is being tried to do 1 million daily.

The PM appealed to the people of the country and said that we have to avoid corona ourselves and also save all the families of younger age in the house. The fight against Corona, we will all fight together and win. The PM said that the country’s scientists are working fast for the Corona vaccine. But until an effective drug or vaccine is made, keep a mask, a distance of 2 gazes and hands from time to time. The PM said that many festivals are going to come. May these celebrations be a cause of happiness for the people. We need to be careful to not spread infection to people. We will also have to keep in mind that the poor families do not have problems during this time of celebration.

The Prime Minister said that together we have to create new health infra, which we have government and private dispensaries in every village, clinics and also make them more efficient. We have to do this also so that the fight against Corona in our villages will not be weakened.

Addressing the program, he said that in the fight against Corona, today we have come to the point where we do not lack awareness, scientific data is expanding and resources are also increasing. PM Modi said that another big challenge was to prepare the Human Resource in the country for the fight against Corona. The amount of time that our paramedics, Aswarkars, ANM, Anganwadi and other Health and Civil Workers have been trained is also unprecedented.

The Prime Minister said that just 6 months ago there was not a single PPE manufacturer in the country. Today more than 1200 manufacturers are producing more than 5 lakh PPE kits every day. At one time, India N-95 masks were also sourced from outside. Today more than 3 lakh N-95 masks are being made in India everyday.

During the Corona epidemic, everyone is working with only one determination that every Indian has to be saved. This resolution has given amazing results to India. What India has done, especially about PPE, masks and test kits, is a big success.

Addressing the program, PM Modi said that one good thing is that these hi-tech labs will not only investigate corona and other diseases. In future, facilities for testing of Hepatitis B and C, HIV, dengue and other diseases will also be provided in these labs.

The PM said that for this big and long fight against Corona, what was most important was that the Corona Specific Health Infrastructure should be rapidly built in the country. For this reason, at the very beginning, the central government announced a package of 15 thousand crore rupees. He said that be it isolation centers, Kovid Special Hospital, network of testing, tracing and tracking, India expanded its capabilities at a very fast pace. Today there are more than 11 thousand Covid facilities in India, more than 11 lakh Isolations Beds.
