Official sources said that during the last 24 hours, the Pakistani Army opened fire at the forward posts and civilian areas of the Indian Army without any provocation. This is the fourth incident of Pakistani ceasefire violation in the last 48 hours. Many residential houses have also been damaged in Golbari. He said that one civilian was killed in the shootout, he has been identified as Salim Ahmed (60) and the other four were injured.
He said that the Pakistani Army opened fire in the civilian area of Taddhar area of Tangdhar in Karnah last evening. The injured were rushed to the hospital and their condition remains stable. He said that the Indian Army also gave a befitting reply to the firing in both the areas. However, the loss to Pakistan’s soldiers has not been known yet. In view of the intermittent firing during the last 48 hours, the people living near the border areas are constantly living in fear.
Meanwhile, people have alleged that there is no bunker here. Which can be used to be safe at the time of ceasefire violation. Local residents said, “We have been demanding bunkers for a long time, but no measures have been taken despite repeated assurances by the administration.” Earlier on Sunday, the ceasefire was violated by firing from Pakistan forward posts at Bakhtur in Gurez, in which an army soldier was injured. The jawan was identified as Sandeep Yadav. On the same day, Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire in Tangdhar sector in Kupwara.
