One lakh rupees prize crooks killed in Feroz Pathan police encounter


Basti: Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (STF) and Lalganj police, while jointly acting , killed Feroz Pathan, a cash bank of Rs 1 lakh, in an encounter on Monday morning. Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena gave this information. He has told that Lalganj Police and STF of Gorakhpur were jointly checking the vehicle. About six o’clock in the morning near Shahid Baba place near Sohila village on Mahadeva Lalganj road, two motorcycle-borne suspects tried to stop. On this, the crook sitting on the back of the motorcycle ran away while the crook, who was riding the bike, surrounded himself and started firing on the police.

He said that in his firing by the rescue police, crook Feroz Pathan alias Abdul resident Prayagraj received three shots, which was caught by the police. The seriously injured crook, who was admitted for treatment in the district hospital, died during treatment. He said that STF soldier Imran Khan was injured in the encounter, which has been sent to the hospital. A carbine, some cartridges and other items have been recovered from the spot.

Let me tell you that this crook was involved in looting 40 lakh rupees on December 6 last year in the settlement branch of ICICI Bank. Two days ago, Basti-Bansi police and STF arrested seven miscreants with a joint effort. The chief mastermind of the gang, Feroze aka Heeru Pathan, was on the run, who was killed today.

Mr. Meena said that the ADG Gorakhpur zone had declared a reward of one lakh rupees. This miscreant was the main accused in the ICICI Bank Basti and HDFC Bank Faridabad Maharajganj Camel Scandal.
