One hour symbolic strike in LIC to protest against IPO

Correspondent, Ambala: On Tuesday, the employees of the Life Insurance Corporation in the cantonment and the city staged a sit-in strike in protest against the announcement of bringing IPO for LIC in the Union Budget 2020. Officers and employees were demanding that the government withdraw its decision as LIC is conducting its work smoothly and there is no harm from it. Officials of LIC’s Class One Employees Federation, Class Two Employees Federation, Class Three Employees Federation, North Zone Insurance Employees Association showed solidarity.

Addressing the indicative dharna, MS Chaudhary said that the central government should withdraw its decision to bring IPO on LIC. Because Life Insurance Corporation is not a burden on the government in any way. It plays the role of an ally of the government. During this, RK Chopra, Kamal Kamra, Kushal Anand, Seema, Anju Gupta, Manjeet Bakhsi, Rajesh Kumar and others were present.
