Nirbhaya case: Tihar officials said – we had done all the preparations for hanging


New Delhi: The authorities of Delhi’s Tihar Jail had made all the necessary preparations to hang the four convicts of Nirbhaya gang rape and murder. Officials gave this information. The four convicts were to be hanged on Tuesday morning, although a court in the city on Monday evening stayed the execution till further orders. Tying the sentence, Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana said that the mercy plea of ​​convict Pawan Gupta pending before the President cannot be hanged till the disposal of it.

We are waiting for the next court order
The judge said that there should be no complaint in the mind of any convict while meeting his author that the country’s court did not act impartially in allowing him to use legal remedies. A senior jail official said, “The time to sentence the four convicts to death was six on Tuesday morning, for which we had made all necessary arrangements.” Now, the sentence is deferred and we are awaiting the court’s next order.

Four convicts in Tihar Jail – Mukesh Kumar Singh (32), Vinod Kumar Sharma (26), Akshay Kumar Singh (31) and Pawan were to be hanged in Tihar Jail on March 3. Another senior jail official said, “We had checked the ropes.” The executioner was summoned and practiced to hang the effigies. He told that the executioner called from Meerut will leave from the national capital on Tuesday afternoon.
