Increased budget of state universities, new courses, hostel construction, research will be encouraged


JNN, Hisar: In order to promote higher education in the state, the budget of almost all the universities of the state has been increased for the first time, presented by Chief Minister Manohar Lal as Finance Minister in the Assembly. It has been announced in the budget to increase the budget of Guru Jambheshwar Science and Technology University of Hisar from Rs 75 crore to Rs 95 crore. At the same time, the budget of other universities of the state has also been increased. Increasing the budget will boost education in various universities of the state, as well as new courses will be started, besides increasing the number of students and teachers, Research and training in various subjects can also be promoted. Apart from this, new hostels will also be built. Also, MoU will be done with various industries to boost employment. The budget also reserved 20 percent seats for scheduled caste students in all hostels of universities and colleges. Tuition will not be taken from girls of poor families with annual incomes up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand in all faculties up to postgraduate level.
