Home guard jawans transferred money by asking account number and OTP after looting


Palval. (Gurdutt Garg) Palwal Camp Police Station has arrested two Home Guard jawans who beat up a bike rider and carried out the robbery incident and later transferred 50 thousand rupees by asking his account number and OTP. The police have recovered cash worth Rs 12,000 from the possession of the accused, while a home guard has deposited Rs 38,000 in his girlfriend’s account.

Palwal DSP Headquarter Sunil Kadyan said that Pintu, a resident of village Khedla, had lodged a complaint that he was working as a driver in the Faridabad Municipal Corporation. On May 18, the victim was riding a bike and going for personal work. Just then, two youths stopped him on the way. The two youths looted and looted the victim’s mobile phone and forcibly asked the account number and OTP and transferred Rs 50,000 from the account.

In this regard, the police registered a case and started the investigation, it was found that two homeguards who were involved in this incident with the victim, one is working in a traffic station and the other in the city police station. The police arrested one homeguard at Kithwadi Chowk and the other from Sohna Mode.

During interrogation, the accused named their name as Karmaveer resident village Aurangabad and Jogendra resident village Gehlab. An in-depth investigation found that a rape case has been registered against accused Jogendra in which he is out on bail. The accused Karmaveer has a girlfriend who is from Ballabhgarh. The accused have transferred 38 thousand rupees out of the amount taken from the victim’s account and that 12 thousand rupees have been recovered from them. The police have registered a case against the accused and initiated action.
