Government plans to overcome the shortage of doctors, suspended doctors will return


Bhopal (Izhar Hasan Khan): In Madhya Pradesh, which is facing shortage of doctors, now the Health Department is going to recruit qualified doctors. In this regard, Public Relations Minister PC Sharma said that the government will restore the suspended doctors in the last 6 months. Apart from this, the Health Department will also recruit 1700 new recruits and 722 medical officers and more than 900 specialists. PC Sharma also informed that the recruitment of 5 thousand nurses, 620 lab technicians and 4 thousand community health officers will also start soon.

Earlier, Health Minister Tulsi Silavat called a review meeting for the vacant posts in the state. Health Commissioner Prateek Hajela, Director Chitra Bhardwaj, Vijay Kumar and other officials were present in this review meeting. It also discussed issuing advertisements for the recruitment of doctors for vacant posts lying in hospitals. During the review of the Health Department, the Minister has also directed to formulate an action plan on the area and district basis to reduce infant and maternal mortality.

In the meeting, the minister has asked to prepare a 365-day work plan of the department in 10 days. Instructions were also given to all officers to inspect government hospitals once a week to improve health services. Also, continue to visit rural areas to improve health services in rural areas. Officers were also instructed to submit reports on arrangements of all district, civil, primary hospitals in the state.
