Government is eyeing the availability of essential commodities in the market: Paswan


New Delhi: Amid a 21-day lockdown to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus, Union Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said on Wednesday that the government was monitoring the availability of essential commodities in the market. Paswan warned manufacturers and traders against profiteering. He said that the Center is in touch with the State Governments to ensure that there is no shortage of essential commodities.

Paswan tweeted that the government is constantly monitoring the availability of all essential commodities in the market due to the threat of Corona virus and is in touch with all the state governments so that there is no shortage of anything anywhere. He also said that there is an appeal to all producers and traders to avoid profiteering in this hour. Meanwhile, in the wake of the Corona virus epidemic, on 23 March, the states and UTs were allowed to take three months of food grains from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to distribute food items from ration shops.
