According to meteorologists, due to the western disturbances and snowfall on the mountains, Delhi-NCR can remain very cold in January just like December.

Snowfall again in the hill states next week

According to Skymet Weather scientist Mahesh Palawat, like December, winter in January can break many records. In fact, western disturbances are forming in the western Himalayan region, which will affect the weather of entire North India including Delhi-NCR. It will also cause snowfall in the hill states. Right now, the relief will remain similar for three to four days. After this, the weather will turn again and the cold will start increasing. It is known that on January 3 last year, Delhi’s maximum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius.

A minimum temperature can fall to degrees Celsius

On the other hand, Skymet Weather chief meteorologist Mahesh Palawat has advised people not to forget to keep warm clothes in the cupboard, after the rains from January 8 or 9, the temperature will start to decrease again. During this period, the minimum temperature can fall to one degree Celsius.

Earlier on Friday, the phase of relief from the chilling cold continued on the third day of the new year. On Friday too, Delhi’s maximum temperature rose to 23.5 degree Celsius after the sunny day, which was four degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 7.6 degrees Celsius at the normal level. The air humidity level was recorded at 55 to 100 percent.

Western disturbance will come on 7 January

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the Regional Weather Forecast Center, Delhi, said that the temperature in Delhi is increasing after the change in the weather. The same weather will continue for six-seven days. After this, a new Western Disturbance is expected in Delhi on January 7, after which light rain is also likely in some areas of Delhi. The mist is also expected to remain cloudy for the next few days. Cold levels may increase due to haze.
