New Delhi The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has given a big gift of New Year 2020 to the passengers traveling on the Airport Express Line. Delhi Metro has started free Wi-Fi service on the airport line from Thursday. The DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh introduced the free Wi-Fi facility in the metro of the airport line.
According to the news agency PTI, DMRC official said that free Wi-Fi facility has been started in all the coaches of the metro from Thursday. With this decision of DMRC, passengers traveling in metro will be able to use internet for free from smart phones and laptops.
Free Wi-Fi facility can also be found on other routes
The DMRC official said that there are already Wi-Fi facilities on the Blue Line and Airport Express Line platforms. According to sources, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is planning to expand the free Wi-Fi facility. This service can also be started on other routes of Delhi Metro. That is, in the coming time, free wi-fi facility can be provided in train coaches on other routes as well. At present, no formal statement has come from DMRC in this matter.
Wi-Fi facilities already available at 6 metro stations
Earlier in October 2016, DMRC started providing free Wi-Fi at all six metro stations of the Airport Express Line. Delhi Metro then said that in the coming time, free Wi-Fi service will also be provided in all coaches of the train. Which is now being started. Explain that the airport line includes New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Aerocity, Terminal-3 and Dwarka Sector-21 Metro stations. Wi-Fi facility is already available at all these metro stations.
