Delhi: 1 crore cash recovered from car at Ajmeri Gate, Income Tax Department starts investigation


New Delhi: Police has recovered Rs 1 crore cash from a vehicle at Ajmeri Gate in the capital Delhi. Income tax department officials have started investigation in the case. The driver of the vehicle, Azad Singh, owner Aditya Agarwal and Tapan Jain are being questioned. Such a huge amount has been seized at a time when there is very little time left for the assembly elections in the capital.

According to the information, Kamla Market Police Station seized these money from a BMW car on Tuesday night while checking vehicles near Ajmeri Gate. The police gave information about this to the officials of the Income Tax Department. Now an attempt is being made to know about the amount from where it was brought. During preliminary investigation it was revealed that the money was being taken from Chandni Chowk to Agra. The Income Tax Department and the police officials are busy investigating the matter in detail. However, the Kamla Market Police Station police has not registered any case in this.
