Hyderabad, Pret / ANI. The Hindu organization’s founder has complained against Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar in the case of twisting facts of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on Twitter.
Complaint at Saidabad police station
Karuna Sagar, the city’s lawyer and founder of the Hindu organization, has complained against Farhan at the Saidabad police station. He has alleged that actor Farhan Akhtar through his remarks created fear among Dalits and Muslims. Inspector Srinivas, in-charge of Saidabad police station, said that they have received the complaint and the facts are being investigated. Also, legal advice is being taken as to whether a report can be lodged on this complaint.
Farhan accused of misrepresentation
The lawyer alleges that Farhan shared a post on Twitter with a photo. In this, he misrepresented that the recent Citizenship Amendment Act is against Muslims, transgenders, Dalits and landless landless people. There is a provision for these people to be kept in jail or detention camps as well as sent back. Farhan also shared a graphic with the tweet. The map of India was stated to be incorrect in this graphic. On getting the information, Farhan Akhtar apologized for this. He tweeted and wrote that ‘I posted a message to perform on 19 December. Along with this, a graphic was also shared. The map of India on this graphic is incorrect. Every inch and part of Kashmir is a part of India and I reject the wrong map. I am sorry that I have not seen it before, so I apologize. ‘
Raising voice, democratic rights
