CAA Protest: Demonstration is a democratic right, but peace must remain – Imam Ilyasi

New Delhi, AAI. Imam Omar Ahmad Ilyasi has given a statement amidst protests against the CAA and NRC in the country. He appealed to all the citizens of the country to demonstrate in peace. It is their democratic right to protest. He is the chairman of ALL INDIA ORGANIZATION ON IMAMS OF MOSQUE.

They also say that there should be protest, but with peace, protesting by damage to any government property cannot be said in any way right. He said that he will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in this matter with 50 people soon.

In fact, for the last few days, there has been a disturbance somewhere on every gambling day, under the guise of nuisance, anti-social elements are damaging government property. In many regions of the country, property worth lakhs of rupees has been lost due to the disturbance. Imam Umar Ahmad says that first people should understand NRC and CAA better, even after that if it seems that it should be performed then they should perform in peace, damage any property or take law in hand , Cannot be said to be fine in any way. It is the property of the country and belongs to the countrymen.

He says that he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah with 50 people from the society. The loopholes in them will be asked to remove them, and it will also be appealed that things which are not in the public interest be removed from this bill. Those who are protesting should be amended only by taking them along. Those who are agitating should be explained in detail about this bill, its profit and loss should be told, so that doubts can be overcome in their minds. Only then things will be completely cured. The unrest that is going on in the country can be pacified in this way.
