Bullets fired on former sarpanch for sarpanchi elections, case registered on 12


Tarn Taran (Raman) : The current sarpanch opened fire on the former sarpanch with the intention of killing him in connection with the sarpanchi elections. Police of Sarai Amanat Khan police station has registered a case on the injured statement. There is an atmosphere of fear in the village after this incident.

Surjit Singh, a wounded in Civil Hospital Tarn Taran, is a former sarpanch and also runs a private clinic in village Miyapur. He told that as he was going home from his car at around 7.30 pm last day, 8–10 people, including the current sarpanch Amritpal Singh and his father Satnam Singh, stopped him in his car and attacked him with teeth. Thereafter, he started firing from a 12 bore rifle, in which a bullet hit his leg and he was seriously injured. At the same time, the SSP Dhruv Dahiya and SSO Arrived at the scene and took stock of the incident.

At the same time, Surjit Singh said that he was admitted to the government hospital in Kassel at night, then referred to the civil hospital. At the same time, Gurjeet Singh Sarpanch, Khehra and Indrajit Singh, relatives of Surjit Singh, told that they have done SSP. Has demanded justice from On the other hand, Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Davinder Kumar told that action is being taken on Surjit Singh’s statements by registering a case on Amritpal Singh and Satnam Singh resident Miyapur besides 10 unidentified people.

Wheel chair not found in

civil hospital Surjit Singh, who arrived in the emergency of civil hospital, was not given a wheel chair  by any employee, due to which his family and colleagues got him admitted to the emergency ward in a barely injured condition. Surjit Singh said that he is already suffering from pain and had to wait for a long time due to not getting the wheel chair from above. In this regard SMO Indra Mohan Gupta told that he would investigate the matter.
