Patna, JNN. Bihar Assembly Election 2020:This time in Bihar assembly elections, not one or two, the whole six Chief Minister faces (CM faces) are trying. This is happening for the first time in the electoral history of Bihar. Chief Minister and Janata Dal United (JDU) supremo Nitish Kumar of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav are the Chief Minister face of the opposition Mahagathbandhan (Mahagathbandhan). Jana Adhikar Party (JAP) president Pappu Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) supremo Upendra Kushwaha (Upendra Kushwaha) have been the chief ministerial faces of their respective alliances. Another Chief Minister face among all these is Pushpam Priya Chaudhary of ‘Plurals’. Not announced, but Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) President Chirag Paswan is also said to be included in the race for Chief Minister.
In the earlier elections, only one or two chief minister faces of major alliances were seen, but this time the number seems to be half a dozen. The question is, who will be the next Chief Minister? It is believed that the main contest will be between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. In such a situation, the Chief Minister is also expected to be elected from one of these coalitions. However, everything depends on the election result and subsequent political equations.
Nitish Kumar is the declared CM face of NDA
Speaking of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he is the Chief Minister of NDA since 2005. In the last election of 2015, he formed a grand alliance with the RJD and the Congress. He was the Chief Minister’s face and became the Chief Minister after victory in the elections. However, Nitish Kumar later broke away from the Grand Alliance and then joined the BJP and became the Chief Minister of the NDA. He is also the declared Chief Minister face of NDA in the upcoming elections.
If Mahagathbandhan wins, Tejaswi will become chief minister
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is the chief ministerial face of the opposition grand alliance. Tejaswi had already been declared the chief ministerial face of the grand alliance by the RJD, but differences of opinion emerged over time. RLSP supremo Upendra Kushwaha and Hindustani Awam Morcha president Jitan Ram Manjhi, who were involved in the grand alliance, questioned the merit of Tejaswi. However, both these parties are no longer part of the grand alliance. The Congress also raised questions on Tejashwi, but now the matter is resolved. Currently, Tejashwi Yadav is the chief ministerial face of the RJD, the Congress and the Left alliance’s grand alliance.
Pappu Yadav becomes the chief face of PDA
PAPU Yadav, the head of the JAP, has formed the Progressive Democratic Alliance (PDA) for the upcoming election. Its chief minister face is Pappu Yadav. Pappu Yadav held a joint communiqué with SDPI National President MK Faizi, Azad Samaj Party President Chandrashekhar Ravan and leaders of other constituent parties in this alliance, in which the announcement was made. Chandrashekhar Ravan, president of the Azad Samaj Party, who joined the coalition, said that under the leadership of Pappu Yadav, change is being initiated in Bihar. Dalits, Muslims and other weaker sections will get protection in Bihar by becoming their Chief Minister.
