Half Marathon ‘The Run and Fun’ was organized under the arrangements of the District Olympic Association as part of the awareness campaign being run against the drug and cancer by the district administration under the Punjab Mission of the Punjab Government. In which more than ten thousand sports lovers took part.
In addition to the chief guests at the Cui Marathon starting from the city’s War Heroes Stadium, players from every section made aware of the government’s cancer awareness campaign through the markets. The marathon flag was flagged off by cabinet ministers Vijayindra Sigla, DC Ghanshyam Thori, DC Income Tax Dr Gagan Kundra and ASP IPS Aditya as joint guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Sigla said that a special effort has been made by the Punjab Government to make people aware for the prevention of cancer and the prevention of cancer, which is highly appreciated. After that, the first two places in the Diva Run were runners-up winners from Kenya. First place was won by Karen Jebet Miao 35 minutes 18 seconds, second place Sally Jabivot Karui 36 minutes nine seconds. Third place in the competition Bharti was awarded the amount of 51 thousand, 31 thousand and 21 thousand respectively after completing the race in 37 minutes 23 seconds. On this occasion, the Motor Bikers and Cycle Awareness Rally was organized in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital. In which Chiman veteran Harley Davidson and Enfield Bikers participated.
