Sundernagar (Nitesh Saini): 2 more people from the Sundernagar subdivision who have returned from abroad are being sent to the Isolation ward set up at Medical College, Nerchowk. With this, the number of patients living in Sundernagar housed in medical college for Isolation has increased to 4. On Saturday, a 25-year-old youth from Khurahal area who returned to Dubai via UAE on March 10 has complained of fever and cold, after which he has been sent to the Isolation ward as a precautionary measure. At the same time, a 34-year-old youth from Churadh region returned from Afghanistan on 11 March. He has been sent to the Isolation ward due to being a sugar patient.
Confirming the case, Block Health Medical Officer, Dr. Avinash Panwar said that since February 20, about 40 people have returned from abroad in the rural areas of Sundernagar section, who are being sent to their homes under the government guidelines and advisory. It has been asked to stay in isolation for a few days. Health workers are checking the health of all these people at home every day.
He said that four people have been kept in the Isolation Ward at the Medical College at Nerchowk as a precaution. He has also urged the local public that if anyone has returned to their neighborhood from abroad, they must inform the Health Department and the local administration.
